which engine oil?
hi guys
which engine oil does everyone use in there escort rs turbo? one chap has told me mobil 1 15/50 oil will be fine and a ford mercanic has told me to use 5/30 which is best?

don't be looking at 5/30, will disappear down the rings and stems etc, a good 10/40
on a higher powered car go for a fully synthetic 10/60.
millers recommend 10/60 for competition.

Forget what the ford man says, use a 50 weight at least, like the mobil, as said under thrashing the 5W30 will indeed disappear, as it thins out too much.
Matt Lewis is very good for Mobil oil.
