Default My rad fan wont work

I have a turbo converted Mk3 Escort. The fan on the rad wont cut in. it'll run up to temp but no fan. Fuses are fine and the fan works with a direct power supply. Any ideas?

on the thermo housing, with a round plug on it or if its a S1 engine, be a square spade block
