Got a 2.0 mondeo engine in my fiesta, but i'm under suspicion that it still has the ECU from a 1.8 which was previously in there..

The question is, what ECU should i fit?

I've found there are (as with most fords) more than one option of ECU to choose. I'm clueless as to which to choose.

Any ideas?

 

depends on if your car has pats?, what loom your car is running,if its internal edis then deep desk or dewy is the code you need,or if its got external then rs1800 or xr3i 130 ecu is needed or ears which im running my 2.0 zetec on which is from a 93 k reg mondeo automatic

 

yeah i think it does have pats, i've been told that ideally i need to bypass/take it out, but i basically am CLUELESS how i'd do this. to be honest i'm not even sure how to tell what loom i'm running.. i'm a little out of my depth already!

 

its a 1.8 orion loom mate and its the ecu from the 1.8 orion aswell if memory serves me correctly
