hi, does the p8's control the amount of fuel thats needed on there own unlike the L8's you have to adjust them manualy with the screw? cheers hugh

P8 have not any co adjust screw, it depends how the chip is made, some doesn`t use lambda sensor signal, other does, and in combination whit other sensors, it control fuel amount

Correct, P8 is under closed loop control using feedback from the lambda sensor to adjust fuel content itself. As are the late L8s of course.

what would be best to use if your going for a good 380bhp P8/L8?

Both are perfectly capable of that conversion so best to just ask your calibration supplier which he has the best programs for.
