According to the escort wrc manual you should need to modify the engine block to have the engine fitted with gpa mounts.

It says
"In order to fit them it is necessary to remove 12mm from the right hand mounting bosses of the cylinder block (axle side).

Does anyone have pictures of this modification?

It also says you should use dowelled studs and that you should counterbore the block for them to fit.
Does anyone have any pictures/explenation on this as well?

The late grp'a'/wrc modification was done to the block because of clearance issues with the FFD 8.5" diff, the blocks are counter bored dowels fitted in opposite 2 corners and taken out to M10 x 1.5, we use a combination of studs and cap screws to make it easier to install, but unless you are planning to run the 8.5" diff i'd say the 12mm mod to the bolck was un necessary....

i will be using an r&d diff which should clear without any problems.
But as far as i understood removing 12mm would mean to skim down the 4 mounting bosses pointing out of the engine? (hard to explain)

So if i dont do this modification the right hand engine mount will be 12mm to long?
