Does anyone know what tyre pressure i need to put in my sapphire cosworth? Its got standard wheels and 205/50/15 tyres.

According to the Ford owners manual tyre pressures are as follows:-

Tyre size 205/50 VR15
Normal load - up to 3 persons. Front 30psi Rear 33psi
Full load - over 3 persons. Front 33psi Rear 37psi

 

I dont think you would go far wrong with 32 all round,every car I have had has always had 32psi.

Those figures sound familiar. Not done it for ages as it was in a garage for 6 years!
So should the rear be more than the front?
I thought it would be the other way round.

Driven wheels normally more on 2wd(front or rear).
I would have a play with pressures, when on Uniroyal Rainsports I used 33F 35R, when on F1 GSD3(awful btw) I used 35F 35R, now on Vredestein Sportrac 3's it is 33F 34R that work best, I always experiment till I get the best.
Different tyres will work better at different pressures even at same size, as some have soft sidewalls some hard etc plus other differences.

I,ve got a print out sheet off Graham Goode site few yrs ago, tyre pressures as follows

205/50/15 normal load and speed F31psi R34psi

'' heavy load normal speed F34psi R37psi
'' normal load high speed F34psi R37psi

'' heavy load high speed F38psi R44psi
