Default Un-Happy T5 box!

I recently bought a very nice saff on the cheap....the downside is, its very difficult to select 4th gear when going up through the gears and while driving the lever vibrates quite harshly

Any ideas where I can get an exchange box or how much this 1 will cost to re-build?

A rebuild would be around the £350 mark, if it needs it.

Thanks for quick reply!

Is there anything I can try before getting a re-build? eg different gearbox oil?

Forgot to mention, the box is a bit whiney too, dont think its the release bearing as it does it constantly

If it's whiney, I would get done asap, as the longer you leave it the more damage potentially it will do, if the bearings break up you will have a much higher bill, as it will also take gear teeth with it.
You could make sure it is topped up full, recommended is ATF.
