right after some advice have a few issues with a mk5 escort 1.6 cabby

when the 15a fuse for the interior lights and clock is left tin the red light on the dash stays on
when the injetion is switch on it remains on dim

the interior fan fails to work the fan works and the fuse is on
and the waser pump dont work again ok any ideas>?

 

sorry to say but the mk5 has issues with the fuse box its a common fault with them

could be something as simple as a coupler not fully cliped in remove them 1 at a time and refit

any ideas if the boxs can be repaired or replacment only any ideas wher i can get a diagram for the fuse box?

 

they have a double layer curcuit board inside which are held together via loads of solder tag connections if the problem is not visable on the outer then its a no go imo m8

pop it out and remove the fuse cover first then the main cover you might be lucky and find your problem

remember take pics as you go for all relay positions and bridging links

replacement is costly depending on what box u have
