Default cossie not sparking

Posting on behalf of someone else, basically for some reason when they turn the ignition on the car gives 1 spark?! then when u crank it you get no spark what so ever. It was running fine till the middle of the week. Its had all new sensors bar the crank sensor, tried a different loom in it but still no joy. He did try a 3door ecu but didnt realise they were different to sapphire ones so obviously that didnt work, althou should an L1 ecu still work in a saph if it had the L1 chip in it still?! I know he tried the L1 chip in te L6 ecu which obviusly wouldnt work but he didnt know that at the time. ignition module is fine btw too.

He's gona try another crank sensor and see what happens but failing that any other ideas?!

Sorry forgot to say the car was running fine other than choaking up and taking a while to start then he adjusted the fuel pressure a bit and it started fine after that then just started doing the above from about wednesday and hasnt worked since!!

Phase sensor is fine, map sensor is on and obviously did work for it to run, if its fucked would it cause it to do whats happening?!

We had all sorts of issues with Petes car not starting not long back and a couple of times it would only spark once then not at all then once again. We tried all sorts then put my spare map sensor on it and it fired up. If you can try a known working on one mate it could be worth a bash for the 5 minutes it takes.
