Default noisey tensioner on esc cos

my alternator tensioner on my 1995 esc cos wont stop squeeking i have changed the belt changed the tensioner for a good second hand one then bought two new beerings and they all get noisey within 5 minutes of running i have run out of ideas now and need help as i am getting some very strange looks when sat in traffic as it is so loud i have taken the air-cn belt off and that makes no differents to the noise and i have bought a snap on stephoscope which i have put on the alternator/waterpump and the power steering pump and they all run quite so the noise is deffinatly comming from this pulley any ideas much appriesiated as i have run out of ideas now cheers

may be a long shot.it may not be you tensioner at all, squirt a bit of wd40 directly on to the multy v part of the alternator belt while the engine is running see if clears, had a similar problem and swore it was everything else, turned to be the belt

the alternator on an escos is the actual tensioner, is uses a spring loaded self ajusting arm to set the tension. as above, have you swapped the acyual belt as they do go shiny on the multi'v's with age.
