got a 1999 ford focus tddi which wont start been told its diesel pump or electronic diesel control" unit the bit on top of pump can any1 help me to find out which 1 it might be.......

 

if pump has any got 1 its bosch part number 0470004002

 

The control uniut on the pump is sealed to the pump. Contacted an injection specialist (when I thouuught mine failed) and your looking at around 500quid from a bosch centre.

 

i did my dads and all in it came to just under a grand to do but that was with brand new pump .

I know this thread is a bit old but the PCU(Pump Control Unit) on top of the tddi injection pump is NOT sealed and can be repaired. I know i have had mine done for a £100 +7.50 P&P
Plus if you take the PCU off and send it off to him for repair, there is no need to reset the timing , i removed and reinstalled it in 15 minutes and it started first time
