hi im new on here can any one help me iv got rs turbo (escort)when i unlock the doors it just keeps locking it self again?its got no alarm on !!any one got any ideas?

yeh, the escorts have a funny locking system. try it from the passenger side???? it'll be a problem with the horseshoe sensor on one of the locks.. any decent auto electrician will have fixed these before... or if ya handy whip the door panels off and have a look for yourself... hth

 

im ok with my hands .what am i looking for?

 

the horsehoe which wraps is self around the lock is loose or wires are shorting or just knackered. take door panel off and have a look.. maybe disconnect one at a time to find the faulty one...

Yeh this is a common fault.It could be worse it could keep unlocking itself like my cossie used to do.

 

yer it is alot worse.makes me feel better about mine now.LOL
