HI.
Do you know what chip is fitted ie turbosystems, and who chipped the car and set it up, is the turbo standard, and intercooler what hoses are fitted to and from the turbo, and do you have a bleed valve fitted or just std amal valve for boost control, also any dump valve if so do you know what type ie baileys,

HI JONN,
if you have a bleedvalve screw it in a bit at a time and check boost after each adjustment, and check all hoses are tight , if you open the silver ecu inside you should see a chip in the one corner about 30mm by 15, and this normally has the company name on it, once you know ask them what the boost limit if any , and the
setup ie co% at idle and cruise fuelling co%, the norm is about 2.5% at idle and up another 1% at cruise about 3500rpm, usually the fuel pressure needs adjusting at the fuel pressure actuator by metering unit, so you can expect the exhaust to be black but you would find after a good blast down the motorway it goes more towards grey, better rich than weak, when u adjust the boost down set it back to12psi, untill u have more info or can have it setup,
most mot place could check the co% at idle and at 3500rpm, for the above figures(chipped) by the way the ones i have chipped i have used turbosystems chip,
