Bigger injectors and a larger fuel tank.
Fuel consumption is about 1.5 to 1.6 times that of normal fuel.

I know when this was done by someone on a turbo car, it needed a complete remap to get it's best, not saying it won't improve without, who knows but remap betters it.

I have greys fitted, And its mapped for 97oct fuel. Was thinking of mixing it with regular 95 just to get the oct rating up.

Without larger injectors or a remap it will run lean due to the increased fuel flow requirements.

al ,

you got your knickers in a twist lad.

is this what you were calling about.
what you need and are probally on about is e5.this is part of an eu directive on the environment.it states that all unleaded fuel has to be(@)8/10 % bio ethanol by 2011.
tesco are selling a 5% mix in the uk at present under the 99ron brand name and we have maxol sellin it as e5.
not to be confused with maxol e 85 which is 85% bio ethanol

this e5 is indeed 99.5 ron and hence is very sutable for 97 mapped cossies.bio ethanol has slightly worse burning/calorific value when compared with petrol so harvey has a large drum for testing on the dyno.must give him a bell to check on results.

im usin it in the saff all the time, only downside is michlestown is the nearest stockist.

a good remap and checking that your fuel lines are in a good condition,e85 is a very aggressive fuel.

bonus is more power and lower exhaust temp.more det resistant.

If you think that's good try water/hydrogen injection, much better.

For a small amount of E85 to pep 95 RON upto being 97 RON equivalent

Fuelling:
Easily taken care of via a slight raise in fuel pressure to account for the increased flow if you are just talking about putting a small amount of E85 in.
I really cant see the point though when you can just buy 97 RON anyway, what advantage does it give you? Possibly you will save literally a few pence per litre, but not worth the hassle of having to always fill up at two pumps and get the right percentage mix etc, plus i would be wary of if it was mixing properly unless I did it outside of the tank

Timing:
You shouldnt need any changes at all, but obviously get it det checked and check your EGT's

If running pure E85:
Fuelling:
You will need a pump that is safe on E85, bigger injectors, your tank wont last as long per fill

Timing:
You will need a remap, as the timing requirements are very different, you should be able to get a lot more ignition into it

Engine changes:
It would be worth upping the compression
