hi im having trouble starting my 3dr.car has not been started for 4-5 yrs.i bought the car with broken engine.
i have since put my 4x4 engine and l8 ecu in but car wont start.
i have power at ecu and at coil but no power at fuel pump or no spark.
can anyone give me any ideas to where i should be looking to help me get car started

Did you use the L8 ecu/engine loom, and tps ?
I would check the CPS as this will knock out both if not working, it is possible to misconnect it with the dizzy so worth a check, the pump should go once turning so long as getting a cps signal.
Most likely a small daft bit that's stopping it, so just a general recheck too of wiring at plug into main loom on area around bottom of screen inside car.

hi tabetha thanks for reply.do i have to use the l8 engine loom? as i have been told only to swap around outer 2 wires of throttle position switch.(was thinking about knock sensor)
today i put l1 back on with 2wd tps and swaped back outer 2 wires of tps and tried.
i now have spark and fuel pump after cleaning lots of contacts and fuses but as with l8 no injector pulsing.is there a fuse or relay for the injectors?

 

It started. But with his L1 and not the l8

 

yes it has started today finally with l1 2wd tps and yellow injectors.but i do wanna run the l8 as i have a chip for greens an 3 bar map sensor and injectors.do i as you suggested tabetha use the 4x4xengine loom to get car running with l8 or is there any way i can run car without changing loom
