Hi guys, i have to remove the inner and outer bushes from my front track control arms for escos, they are new arms from ford so the rubber bushes are in very tight whats the best way to remove these without damaging the bushes, i dont want to butcher them out but poly bushes will be going back in so i will hack them out if i have to.
Get a socket that is larger than the outside of the bushes, and one around the same size eas the metal sleeve in the centre of the bushes, put in a vice so the thinner socket presses on the sleeve and so pushes the bush out into the larger socket as you tighten the vice squeezing it all together, does come out easy and does not damage the oe bush, apart from a few scuff marks.
