Oil Cap Coming Off
Anyone had this before??
My oil filler cap off my YB came off on Saturday during the lakes tour. Fortunately it must have happened just before we were stopping and just thought I'd have a butchers under the bonnet to check the fluids etc as we'd done about 60miles and the cap was sat there on the cam cover and the whole engine bay covered in oil.
I did check the fluids before setting off in the morning but it did'nt need any oil so never touched the cap, my mates were all taking the piss as they reckoned I'd not put it on properly but I know I never took it off in the first place.
Anyone else had this then??? or maybe know the cause of it??
The cap is one of the screw type like the modern fuel filler ones that just clickclickclick when on.
Thanks

screw in ones should'nt work there way out.
you sure you never took it off? there's no way it could have blown off with pressure etc. as it's screw on.

Or someone else might have removed it..........
