3door cos brake judder

Default 3door cos brake judder

when im braking hard in my cossie it shakes and judders like mad, has anybody had this problem or does anybody know what it can be?? thanks

worn ball joint, warped brake discs or worn track rod ends can cause it, have u tried to jack the car up and see if theres any play anywhere when wobbling the wheel?!

discs???? buckled wheel?? track rod end?? steering rack?? wheel bearing.... it could be any of these.. if its bad it may be dangerous... you wanna get it checked out mate.

i havent checked anything yet but was just wondering if it was a certain problem but obviously it can b a number of things, ill have to get it sorted because it gets annoying.
also i find the brakes arent that good compared to my old saph 4x4!!

You defo have something very wrong then, they should feel substantially better.
It is most likely warped discs, why they are warped could just be age/use or very likely one or more of the 8 in total pistons sticking, so a good check all round needed.

so your saying the brakes should be better than the saph or just as good!
i have driven 2wd saphs with very sharp brakes shud the 3doors b the same!!

yes cos their 4 pots where as ur 4x4 cossie would have had single pot calipers!

oh i dident know that i thought they were all 4 pots, the brakes definataly need 2 be checked out then..

Nah mate 4x4 saphs and escos's all came with single pot calipers

yes i had a problem with one of my pots sticking and was intermitant depending on if its holt or cold day and yes very annoying.
