just done a rebuild on a cvh new mains big ends and rings every thing lubed b4 assembly timing bob on but very slow to crank and wont start coz not turning over quick enough some one said theve had taht b4 and had to tow it to get it running any ideas

Did it turn OK by hand before you tried to start it?

Did you have the crank re-ground? Mis-matched main bearings maybe?

turns over by hand ok but tighter than norm think its coz its all new and not beded in it gettin a bit better got battery on charge crank spun ok in block when torqued down its only sice rings put in think a bit tight in bores till settled down all bearings and rings where standard size

sorted gave battery a good charge and shes a way run her properly tomoz make sure no nasty noises or puffs of smoke but lookin good so far was a bit concerned about pitting in bores 2 and 3 but before rebuild was burnibg oil rings must of been shot appears ok at the mo
