hi folks, new to this forum so hope you can advise me a little ?,recently bought a 2.0ltr laser capri with the intention of putting a 3.0ltr essex engine in, anyway, to cut a long story short, have also purchased a 2.9i 4x4 sierra engine for next to nothing, can anybody tell me how to convert this engine to run on carbs, and then use to replace existing engine ??? any advice will be gratefully accepted, many thanks, 269

 

Why not use injection?

The guy you need to pm is stucapri2.9iTT he can tell you all need to know

BUT you will need to find a 2.8/2.9 2wd sump 2.8 capri cross member and engine mounts,if using inj a 2,8 fuel tank and pump and a v6 type 9 box or a mt75 hybrid

Its quite easy really you will need ecu and loom from 4x4 and its only about 5 wires to hook up,hardest thing will be getting hold of the 2.8 parts
