Hey iv just bought a ka, and it isnt running right, ino the tappets need adjusting but now and agen when its just ideling it will start running lumpy the oil light will come on and then it will cut out. i have put oil in it and the oil level is ok. also when accelrating itll kick what looks like steam out of the exhaust. Anyone and ideas ??? its and endura engine.

I would firstly clean the iscv, then give it a complete service.
If the idle speed falls to low then it can illuminate the oil light due to oil pressure dropping, the iscv controls the speed, so needs fixing first.
