Default Wheel Offsets

I know it may be heresy to a lot of you but I have a kit car based on a 1986 Mark 2 XR2.

It is standard suspension and I have been trying to find out what the standard wheel offset will be. Opinions on the web vary between 35 to 41 mm. Can anyone confirm a figure?

Also I have a set of Ford wheels that I need to know the offset of. I was told to look for a number after the letters ET on the back but there is no ET there.

The following are stamped on the back of different spokes.

95AB-AA

1373-5a

OFF 41
6Jx14H2

Can anyone confirm the obvious - that OFF 41 means an offset of 41mm or is that just to simple?

Thanks for any help.
