does the std P8 ecu in bigturbo escos cars not need a board like the std 4x4 L8 saphs ?
i know the std escos progrm allows overboost upto around 14psi for about 5 seconds and then drops back to around 10 psi, what would a "phase 0" chip do, would it be more of a drivability chip than a nomal "stage 1" chip which allows around 1 bar(15psi) of boost normally?
im just interested as there is a Well Lane Phase 0 chip sitting with my std blue injecotrs that i removed to fit the pectel board, chip and greens.
the car ran like a bag'O'wank before this but this was down to the wiring which has since been resolved fully and the new stg 3 setup installed.
so, what difference (if any) over std would there be with a Phase 0 chip ?

Escort RS Cosworth Phase 0 = +40 bhp (Phase 0 is Superchips terminology), reprogrammed chip & boost increase - makes the car considerably less laggy/more lively.
Phase one is similar but usually with de-cat exhaust & air filter & more boost (& possibly light green injectors?)
Phase two is the 'usual' greens/3 bar setup.

that would explain why when i spoke to someone else about it - they said, they thought well lane used superchips - (obviously with their own sticker on instead).
