anyone have an idea what is wrong with my mates rs turbo the car runs fine till you put your foot down then it splutters and backfires there is blue smoke when it backfires aswell but nothing when its idling any help much appreciated cheers

 

Are you sure its not black smoke??

 

no mate its definately blue but only when it backfires

 

Blue smoke indicates oil so would say turbo

 

i thought turbo myself cos of the blue smoke but wouldn't of thought that it would cause it to backfire and splutter etc

 

Or seriously overfuelling
