Default Ford Focus Titanium

Hi, I hope someone can help me, one of my friends has a problem with his 2008 ford focus titanium, when he goes to pull off from a junction etc he is getting no response from the throttle every now and again, obviously it is an electronic throttle on his car, but he is unsure what it is, when he puts his foot on the throttle to pull out, it just idles, it doesn’t cut out or anything? The only way he has been fixing it is by knocking off the engine and starting it back up and its fine again.....for a while.

Will it be the electronic sensor in the throttle thats the problem? I don’t know much about them so thought I would ask on here for him. Any one else had a similar problem?

Any help would be appreciated……

Id suggest taking it back to ford and getting it sorted under warranty, surely thats why he bought a new car anyway!
