Can anyone tell me which model fiesta shares its basic chassis with the puma?

sure its the mk5 mate.

ie, mk5 zs, the one with triangular headlights

It is the mk4 and mk5.

But the mk4 shares more similarities than the mk5. ie suspenstion and engine parts as they were inproduction at the same time. 1997 onward i believe then the mk5 came at a later date.

why you ask mate?

From 1999 the chassis on the puma changed slightly so that probably coincided in the Mk4/5 change.

why you ask mate?
Toying with the idea of either a puma or fiesta to use as a track day car, I have a 200bhp N/A zetec just sitting around so I'm just comparing handling and weight of the two cars.
