hi, my s2 has jus started acting up. the main headlights are really dull wen switched on [sidelights are brighter]all fuses are fine [tryed new bulbs aswell]
2-and the my central locking has packed up which was a fuse but wen i put a new fuse in it blows straight away,
3-the other prob is the drivers door can be locked with key but cant open with key?

any ideas would be great guys thanks in advance

 

For the headlights I would look at the earths, you sure it's not a dim dip showing ?

hello mate,
ford locks are able to be locked by any ford key mate. you proberly need a new key or at worst case new door lock
as for the central locking problem, did it stop working at the same time as your door lock packed up? if so i would assume there is a problem with the solinoid in the drivers door

i had a patch of welding done to my car from aguy, and wen i got it back the central locking wasnt working and the headlights were dull ,the drivers door lock happened later on as car was sitting for couple of month and one day it didnt work

 

if the car hs been welded he might have melted the wire near where he was welding or if he didn't disconnect or put a surge protector on the battery he might have damaged the wiring/central locking solinoide etc

the door lock needs replacing then mate!

ok m8 thanks alot, 1 more thing iv just fitted an airtec intercooler and have a slimline fan with 2 wires sticking out from fan ,jus wondering wat wires they need to be connected to get it working ?
