I have removed one of the side skirts off my esc cos, now ive been to ford and ordered some new clips (and what a saga that was ) Prob is there are 2 different types of clip, and one type acording to ford is no longer available, anyone know where else these are avialable.
There is only a very slight difference in these but the skirt won't fit right unless i have both types.
Car is the later type if that makes any difference.

I order both kinds and they are the same !!!!

 

There not quite the same, the 2 on the rear section have a slightly small er tag on the back of them to allow the skirts to fit closer to the panel.
I found this out tring to fit them the other way and the bloody thing snapped
Now i cant get them, or at least thats what i was told. will try ford tomorrow.

 

The ones I got where the same - that's why the back of it stands out a bit


But you ay try the method my body-shop suggested - they just glued this with windscreen glue instead using new clip when one snapped - it holds much stronger.

 

i have the same problem, ive bought a few of the back type and i'm gonna fit them on the front, going to file the little bits off . so many parts are now obsolite for the escort its a joke, m8 of mine could'nt get a new front hub from ford he had to get one from a breaker

 

they are hard to get hold of there offically discontinued
although i do have 20 in me garage

The rear ones are easy to get, the type with the smaller tag (got 8 spare now) and these will fit the front section ok if carefull when re-fitting
