Default N/A tuning zetec

if you had a grand to spend NA tuning a 2.0 zetec, what would you do?

i'm pretty sure that once i buy megasquirt i can map it myself with some practice and some studying

i can also make things like bike TB's fit no problem

and its going in a D reg escort so carbs could be an option, just wondering whats best

cheers for any help

Dan

I wouldn't bother, pointless spending that much money and keeping it N/A.

I'd spend abit more and turbo it.

But if I HAD too it would be headwork, inlet and exhaust manifolds, tb's, cam etc.

ST170 head is a must, it does big numbers. Fit throttle bodies and some wild cams and you can do 250hp. If i do headwork, over 300hp is possible. You'll need billet oil pump gears, as you'll be revving it over 8k.
