Just bought a fiat bravo battery keeps going flat apparently its had new alternater ect. Going to do a few tests on it at the weekend but just wondering if theres any common faults? Its a R-REG AUTO 5 DR

could just be something draining power like an interior light etc thats sticking on, can also try putting a bulb or test lamp from batt earth to chassis if it lights up you got a bad earth. happy hunting!

JUst disconnect the battery lead(either one) put a bulb between it and the battery post, with all electrics off it should have no more than a dim glimmer, this will show you current is flowing.
A fave often overlooked component is the alternator, disconnect this overnight to eliminate it, could also be a shagged battery, disconnect this after charging and see if it holds charge.
