I bought a new 90amp alternator for my 1991 redtop saph cossy. Now, the pulley on the new alt is a multi v pulley & my old alternator has a bouble V-belt pulley. Is what i would like to know is are the pulleys interchangable? If they are i will be fitting my original pulley to the new alternator & visa versa.

should be and yes

 

as long as the body has the same locating bolt holes, then yes, the pulleys "should" just swap over

jam the fan with a srewdriver and undo the hunt, swap the pulley over and tighten up again and refit to the car

Std thread, use the thinnest socket you can, as the nuts are very close fit in the depth.
