Default door lock not closing properly

Hi All

So i warmed up the spaphiree this morning ready to go for saturday burn around.

When i got in the car and closed the drivers side door, it was not properly closing and was ajar.

It does close all teh way but then opens up a bout 1cm.

I took off the door card and had a quick feel around but nothing feels broke or uncoupled.

Any ideas?

Just took a second look and i think its just the alignment of the lock. any tips on the best way to get this sorted?

As it was presumably ok before may just be getting a bit sticky, but if needs adjusting then just undo the bolts that hold the catch on the pillar bit, usually tight as fook, so may just need a slight tap with socket bit etc on impact driver.

Everning Tabetha

I did try ajusting the catch but still have the same problem. I had a quick look at the other door catches and noticed that the plastic on the catch looks worn thought to the metal, could this stop the lock mech engaging?

No not really, use a scredriver in the lock in the door to act as the "pin" so as to activate the lock, you will no doubt find the lock mech is partially seized, point the scredriver at the lock and insert so that it does exactly what the pin on the striker plate does, and you will instantly see what is wrong.
In short it's lock out time for a bloody good degrease, and relube.
