any one know if my escort is obd-2
hi all i have a 1.6 16v escort mk6 1996 and its got the obd-2 (dlc) i was told that pin 2 and 10 are needid for obd-2 but pin 3,4,5,7,11,16 are on my (dlc) any 1 help with where to get a compatable fault code reader from

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
It will never be OBD2 compliant as this is a USA standard for cars sold in the USA only.
Ford uses ecu's manufactured in the USA and some of them support the EOBD/OBD2 protocols before it was mandatory. I think it starts with the EEC-V. As fas as I know the EEC-IV does not support this.
