washed my car about a monh ago,started it up a day latter missing realy realy bad wouldn't rev up properly,people said try wd40 around all the electrics,did that no joy,used compressed air made it a bit better,put new plugs and leads on it made no difference,the thing is misses between 1000rpm and 2800rpm after that its fine,so when u drive it will miss for a few seconds then go like a rocket,but about a week before i adjusted the fuel pressure regulator would that of made a difference,oh and i put a new electric pack on it,would be greatful of any help

Im not really sure on the question as i dont want to make guess' but tell people what car and they might have a better idea how to diagnose the problem as the electrics are very different on different cars as you know.

 

its mk4 escort cabriolet with the efi engine
