Default 1.4 Zetec - Cambelt loose, worst case scenario???

I have a Mk4 Fiesta with a 1.4 zetec engine. Was driving it home today and it just cut out. Checked the usual and then the cambelt. I am assuming one of the tensioners has gone, as the cambelt is all loose. Prior to discovering it was the cambelt I did try turning the engine over a few times. What is the worst and best case scenario???? Gutted as I only bought it today!!!
