Default simple swap?

could i just swap a 1.6 cvh 8v with a frst engine and ecu with no probs?i know i will need the intercooler but is it that easy?

well it depends what are you swaping it into?? if its say a 1.6 cvh xr2 on a carb then no as the is no loom, injection tank ect ect if you mean xr2i then its prity easy imo

either way you need to swap the loom ecu etc
and maybe more depending what its going into
its not a hard conversion but doesn't just fall in and run

its a xr2i.i thought it would just be like a plug n play swap with a few other bits,so would i need to swap the loom?

you dont have 2 change the whole loom.im sure its just abit of it on bulkhead

yes loom, ecu, fuel tank(possibly), fuel pump, driveshafts, brakes(recommended), there maybe more

xr2i breaks and shafts are the same as rs ones same with tank and pump the loom is the same apart from the engine harness but that is just a few pin changes

basically on the bulkhead theres a multiplug that comes apart seperating the car loom from the engine loom, get an RS loom and it'll plug onto the 2i harness in the same place, the map sensor connector is different hence needing to change it althou you may just be able to get away with changing the connector itself......
