does any1 know what numbers on the fuel pump relay go 2 what numbers on ecu??

 

im going to be striping a mk4 loom down tonite so will hav a look 4 you m8 do you need to know all 4 pins or just the one to the ecu?

 

nice 1 all 4 would be good.. id settle 4 the 1s that go 2 ecu.. jus so u know the ecu im tryin 2 use in the (mk4 88 xr) is a (mk5 94 escort) 1.8 beau ecu.. see diagram on me page if it helps at all?...

 

Knowing the numbers on the terminals of the relay will tell you, post them up and I'll look in my book of words if you want.

o.k so.. ths is what ive come up with.. 30 goes to 30 0n ignition relay then leads to batt+.. 85 goes to pin 22 on ecu.. 86 leads to 87 on ignition relay and powers lamba/coil/ecu number 1.. 87 goes 2 fuel pump and according to the diagram to fuel pump feedback on ecu which is pin??? is any of this right??

 

30 is defo power supply/battery, but this exits the relay via no 87, no 85 and 86 are a live and a earth, doesn't matter which way round as all they do is create a magnetic field that pulls the contacts closed, so joining 30 to 87.
This just means it is a std SPST switching relay, doesn't tell what they are connected to, some other relay types used on cars have numbers that denote equipment that they are used for, but not this one.
