Default Gear box

Hi once again sorry if this has been answered.

But the cossie gearbox is 100k old.

Now whe u open her up there's a rattling noise coming from it no all the time but now and then and it feels rough gear changing when it's under load.

Also u can't put her in 1st you have to 4th 3rd 2nd 1st that way when at a stand still while she's rolling she will go straigh into first!

Just wondering what the problem is yeah i know someone's gonna it's fooked but detail please lol.

Thanks

IT'S A 2WD BTW

Thanks again.

Hi mate it's perfect of boost once the boost comes on it make's a rattling noise like summat's loose but it pull's fine it's deffinate gearbox cos if i change gear at high rev's like on boost the selection of gears make a rough sorta sound and crunch in place but if i let the rev's die down before i change gear(dip clutch)then put it into gear at say 2k it's fine!!!

Just weird and oh over 80-90 mph in 5th it also starts making the noise!

if it crunches its likely to be worn syncros; if it wont engage gears from 5th downwards t could be worn baulk rings

if its done 100k i'd just get the whole unit rebuilt rather than replace individual parts

if its in for a rebuild, upgrading the selector forks is worth doing IMO, think CTS and Reyland both do the kits, changes the tips from plastic to brass if i remeber rightly,
