Default zetec tuning

can you build a high revving n/a 2.0l silvertop zetec on a budget?
can i skim the pistons down to lighten them and have the rods lightened and a balanced bottom end?!?!?!?
lightened flywheel?!?!?!
obviously arp bolts.
what about oil pump pressure? baffled sump??
also the tappets? can i use black top tappets somehow?
what are the things i would need?
anyone know

i think you'd be better starting with a blacktop tbh as i believe they have solid lifters, longer rods etc?

i agree but i would struggle to get it to fit in my mk4 coz i have all the mk5 escort power steering setup on mine and the black top water pump will get in the way of that!!?!?

There's not much point in trying to make it rev higher if the engine won't be breathing a lot better!

You're not going to be revving much higher than stock unless you upgrade the valvetrain.. springs mainly. I think standard rods would be a timebomb, but shot-peening and polishing them and using ARP bolts should extend their range - by how much, who knows.
