Anyone willing to remind a numb nut how to remove the steering shaft/ ''boss'' from a mk3 escort (the peice behind the steering wheel that holds the ignition barrel and the mounts for the bonnet catch etc etc)

Undo the shear bolt @ the back and then simply pull off column.

Alternatively, and easier, undo the 4 x 13mm nuts holding the whole outer column on and remove the lot.
