Default ST170 Spark Plugs?

Due to my local motor factor not being able to get hold of the puka ST plugs and the local Ford dealer wanting £75 I'm wondering if the standard blacktop plugs would be OK?

Certainly the previous owner didn't have the correct ones in and as I'm running after market exhaust, ECU and carbs was wondering if the £75 set are necessary??

Cheers,
Steve

They are nothing out of the ordinary to need a one off plug set, just find out which the NGK etc equivalent is and use those.
Some of the precious metal ones(iridium) tend to be super sensitive also, my cossie eats them quite well, lasting only around 1500 miles so use 071 now at £8 a set instead of £40 a set.
