can anybody help with a speedo problem,i have no life from the speedo atall,ive changed the clocks i have with the car and on both sets everything else works apart from the speedo.then checked the cable connection both ends and the speedo jumps when being moved,also changed the speedo drive and still nothing!!does anyone have any ideas????

 

Broken speedo cable, you have shown the speedo works, I would take the clocks out and just drive a few yards to see if the cable is actually rotating.
Quite often they get dry inside the outer casing and snap, there is also a dreaded problem on some escorts, not sure what but mk3/4 where the diff bearings become worn and the speedo stops and things move about inside the box.

i had the same prob when installing dials, i hadnt pushed the connector on properley and it jumped out when i reinstalled the clocks, make sure it is on there pushed in hard and you cant pull it off unless it is pressed together (assuming its on an erst)
