I have recently stripped a half converted 2.0 ZVH bottom end.
It has what I thought were normal zetec pistons, but on closer inspection they have the mahle logo on the underside on the crown.
Are these normal Zetec pistons?
Please help!

The code of Mahle pistons is usually something of this type: 90V11801.
The letter 'V' means that it's cast, whereas a 'P' would mean that it's forged. The marking on the piston top tell the different sizes and gaps.

the pistons are totally flat topped with no markings on the crown. I'm pretty sure they're not the vauxhall ones as I was sure these had a small dish / valve cut-outs.

Why couldnt ford make a N/A engine as good as the C20XE 2ltr 16v vaux lump, wicked engines.
155bhp as standard, stainless tubular manifold as standard, cosworth designed head, early ones had mahle forged pistons and a steel crank as standard and the spread of torque is just wicked!
Shame its a vaux engine.
