i know this is a common problem on mk2 xr2's, but what is causing my rev counter not to work?

sometimes they just pack in, but take the clip off the back and check the wire from the coil is ok. then go from there.

I had this on mine years ago, took it out and checked all the circuit tracks at the back and found a hairline 'break' on it somewhere (dont remember where exactly,sorry) buy using a light and magnifine glass

sometimes the needle sticks had the same problem myself.go scrappers and get a new clock cost around a tenner.
