Default Suspension

A little help please,

I have been given a set of gmax 60mm g max shocks and spings front and rear, complete with shoxker tops/mounts for my mk4 escort cabriolet.

I have spoke to a lot of people and they have told me this is too low and will ruin the ride. What i want to know is will these struts be ok if i get a new set of springs? (35-40mm?) I may be being a bit dim here but any help would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

60mm is quite a hefty drop mate, i had them on my Mk4 3i and i went through no end of driveshafts and wheel bearings
30-40mm drop is better and will be ok with those shocks, although any change in height does affect the geometry of the car and will put more stress on other components.

I have looked into the suspension and im not really sure about it to be honest. On the prings they say "G MAX 40 FO 03L".

I have looked into this and Im not sure if they reduce the car by 40mm or 60mm. On some websites it has these and it says a 40mm drop for RS Turbos and others it says 60mm drop on Cabriolets. Would the same suspension kit give a different drop on different cars? As mine is a cabriolet i dont really want a 60mm drop.
