Hi I Am Having A Problem With The Spark On My 3 Door Cossie After The Engine Rebuilt The Engine Has Just Been Put Back In Is Cranking And Feulinng But The Spark Is Not Right It Is Sparking At Wrong Times And Not That Many Sparks Either Not Like It Should.i Tried New Spark Plugs,leads Etc Etc All The Obvious Things Even Tried Moving The Crank Sensor But Still No Joy Sound Like It Want To Start But Cant Tried Moving The Belt Round For The Timing Aswell But Still Nothing Can Anyone Please Help Really Needing This Done So Any Help Would Be Really Appreciated

yeah the timing marks seem to be fine "Phase sensor plugged in backwards inside distributor"will have a look at that anymore susgestion as it saves me a run down to the lock up

Put the engine on TDC and make sure the rotor arm is pointing towards number one cylinder. There is also a groove in the distributor to line this up.
This is assuming you are still running the standard system.
Then check the connectors for the dissy and crank sensor have good connection and are the wright way round as i have seen these forced together the wrong way round before.
I would then check you have the right gap on the phase sensor and that the crank sensor is mounted correctly.
