S1 escort turbo intermittent boost
my mate has got a S1 turbo and he said sometimes its got loads of boost and then some times he puts his foot down and there can be nothing. Has anyone had the same fault.

faulty chip?
ive herd of the turbo pipe between metering head and intake side of turbo can collapse and cause probs?
might be worth a rolling road session?

he has changed the actuator cause it had no boost to start off with. It was spot on for a few days and then its like it is now some times its spot on and other times its got no boost.
