Default Escort wiring...

hi,

i've an entire loom out of a p-reg escort. I want to know how much of it i'll need to make it run a zetec engine.
I have a photo but i've been trying to up load to PF via photobucket for the past half hour with little sucess.
I've take a photo of what i THINK will run the engine, but i'm not sure. I don't understand manuals too well that why i'm asking. I like things to be shown to me. Yes I'm still 5 mentally.

If any one is willing to help out either on the up load or the wiring, that'll be great
Cheers.

Well the first escort zetec conversion i done, i transferred an entire mk6 loom over. That car has since gone to the scrap yard in the sky, so this is going into another project.
I've unplugged everything i think i don't need, but i'm not sure how to power the ecu/if theres enough wiring to run the engine.

btw cheers for putting it up.

Well as far as i can work out you you need to splice the following from the new loom (where it connected to main car) to your project car loom, Found this on the net If you have any close ups of what you have chopped out of loom you could email they would be handy as im at this stage still lol

Do you reckon ive enough of the loom to make it run? If i power it some how?
that diagram doesn't do anything for me i'm afraid. I got dropped on my head as a baby so i don't follow diagrams too well.

I think mine is a internal pats system (i hate pats)

What loom is yours out of? If i have time before i fit the engine i'll try and take more pics provding its not raining!

Anyone confirm this will run it without attaching the rest of the loom? I don't wanna rip the engine out and find i'm gonna have to replace the loom too ;-(

cant help anymore im having a mare as im using a mondeo motor and engine loom but my loom that runs back to the ECU is mk5 escort so the wire colors dont match on the 2 plugs that run the injectors sensors etc and i cant get my head round if it actually makes a difference at the ecu end , Oh and the main engine loom has been chopped off !!! It will probably end up running bike carbs lol

lol, sounds like fun.

bike carbs you say, great minds think alike. Ive been making a manifold/bought the carbs/ buying the megajolt ecu at xmas along with a rolling road.

I was just doing this, so i can get the engine run back in since its been sitting around for the best part of a year (correction 3 zetec have been sitting around for the best part of a year)
I'm too lazy for my own good.

Bike carbs are the way to go.
