Default Hard point on accelerator

Hi. Got a s2 erst. One thing i have noticied is that if you put your foot on the accelerator and apply pressure it seems normal then it hits a "harder point" which if you push it harder through this "point" the car takes off and accelerates a hell of alot more!!!

If you have ever had a old xr2 with webber carb you might know what i mean (when the car came on 2 choke instead of using one). It feels similar to that.

Is this normal?

Grease up the throttle linkage on the throttle body. My Cossie had a snatching point which was horrendous to drive with, and dangerous sometimes, so I found the throttle linkage was sticking and greased it up. It's been a dream to drive since. Now all I have to do is put the head back on.

Just off on a tangent though, I'm a bit peeved that 7 people viewed this thread and didn't offer any advice.
