Hi there...

I have been offered a complete Focus Rs frontcut. With engine, gearbox, driveshafts, engine-manegement, brakes etc etc...

Is there anyone in here who has put in engine, box and brakes into a Escort Mk 4 Rst?

I dont want to buy it all if it is a HUGE projekt...

This could be a nice little winterproject

you will need to do quite a bit of fabrication mate as engine and box mounts are different and you will need to sort a peddle box as the focus has hydrolic clutch

 

Maybe a fiesta/ka pedal box would be possible?

cant you just use the rs turbo box then just drop the engine and wire it all in job done

 

I would love to get the Focus Rs gearbox in as well. I asume it has an lsd, and is able to deal with the bigger power...??

 

Yes, there's the Quaife tosen LSD, and yes it's sronger. In addition you'll have a bigger clutch to use. To use the MTX gearbox, you'll need to do new monts, hybrid driveshafts and make a small amount of extra room in the front chassis leg. You'll find all the pictures in here somewhere on the forum. The hydraulic clutch is a minor thing. Just need to couple a master cylinder to the pedal.
